From the Braves to the Red Sox: Thank You!
The Red Sox have always been my favorite American League team, mostly because they're my dad's favorite and we've been to Fenway twice (which is like the holy temple of baseball). I have a new found love for them though, thanks to one Edgar Renteria. Not only did they give up on him too soon and send him our way, but they're paying about half his salary while he's here! Today his hitting streak extended to 16 games...I love this guy! He has yet to play in a single game as a Brave without a hit. Every time he gets up to bat I relax, slide off the edge of my seat and wait for the hit I know is coming. He was definitely the biggest off-season gift we received. Although the Red Sox are my favorite American League team, the Braves are where my true loyalty lies. So, thank you Red Sox Nation...and welcome to Atlanta Edgar!
